Needing a quick dose of motivation in the morning to get through the rest of your day? Learn how to easily set up your daily to-do list to build confidence and achieve your big goals.

To-do lists are amazing! I use one every day. It helps keep us on track, checking things off feels fantastic, and at the end of the day we feel productive, meaning we feel good about ourselves.

But sometimes that to-do list is daunting. Especially when there are several things written on it that we don’t want to do. Maybe we’re intimidated or overwhelmed by the task, maybe we fear it won’t be a positive experience.

For most of us if there’s a phone call we have to make, we’ll procrastinate until the end of time.

But this procrastination, fear and nerves aren’t helping you achieve your goals and feel good about yourself. They’re doing the exact opposite.

When you reach the end of the day and still see these tasks staring back at you with no checkmarks by them, you feel discouraged, and you beat yourself up for not getting it done.

But there’s a super simple way to organize your daily to-do list to not only make the day more fun, but to also give you the confidence boost and motivation to tackle those hard-to-do tasks.

It’s all about the quick wins!

Quick wins are tasks, like on your to-do list, that you know without a doubt you can easily and quickly achieve in a few minutes.

Maybe the quick easy wins task is taking the chicken out of the freezer to thaw for dinner. Or it could be making an online appointment to get your dog groomed. Or maybe you need to put a photo in a frame and display it.

Quick wins can be any number of activities. They just need to be able to be done quickly and easily and cause no stress or anxiety.

Now let’s incorporate those quick easy wins tasks into your daily to-do list so you can feel like a productive, confident rock star.

How to Easily Organize Your Schedule to Build Confidence and Achieve Your Goals

Step One: First things first, identify the quick easy wins on your to-do list or in your schedule.

What are a few simple tasks that cause you no anxiety and you know you can get them done quickly?

Pick at least 3 to 5 easy wins tasks. These activities must be able to all be completed in 30 minutes or less.

Step Two: Now put those bad boys at the top of your to-do list. Schedule these 3 to 5 tasks before anything else.

They can be in whatever order you want them. Since they’re all easy wins it doesn’t matter which one you start with.

But if you need an extra dose of motivation, which we all need from time to time, start with the easy win that will be the most enjoyable for you

Step Three: Bust through your easy wins. Complete all 3 to 5 tasks that were at the top of your to-do list.

No breaks. Just get them done as efficiently as possible.

And look at that! You just completed several tasks that were on your schedule for the day in less than 30 minutes!

Step Four: Celebrate your wins! Quick wins are still wins and they deserve to be celebrated, especially if you just knocked a few of them off your to-do list.

It’s important to celebrate these smaller wins because it builds your confidence, gets you feeling good about yourself, and keeps you motivated to take on bigger tasks and goals later on.

Celebrating these easy wins can also keep you more focused and make you better at prioritizing and organizing your day.

Don’t skip this step! Yes, they were quick, small wins. But you still won! Don’t take that away from yourself.

You can celebrate by texting a friend about how you just marked off 5 things on your to-do list. You can put a gold star next to the checkmark. You can give yourself a little treat whether that’s an actual sweet treat or a few minutes of fresh air or some dog cuddles.

I have a sweet tooth, so I love rewarding myself with a little piece of candy.

I also always let myself sit in the moment for a few minutes and just feel all the good feelings that come with marking things off my to-do list.

You can reward yourself however you want. Just make sure you do something nice for yourself to celebrate.

Step Five: Keep the momentum going! Now that you’re confident and motivated, you can start tackling the other items on your to-do list. You’re on a roll and have momentum, so don’t stop now. Objects in motion stay in motion (thanks elementary school science class).

If you can bust through 5 things in 30 minutes, you can accomplish the rest of your to-do list.

Remember to still celebrate after you complete a task, especially if it is an overwhelming or intimidating one.

Give yourself encouragement with a little reward after marking off an activity. Take a few minutes afterwards to let it sink in that you marked something off your list.

Let the confidence wash over you and watch your self-esteem build.

Your to-do list is now organized in a way to build confidence and help you achieve your goal of tackling the bigger items on your schedule.

Take a look at your to-do list and ask yourself how you can reorganize it to put a few easy wins at the top of the list.
